Because our offices are constantly improving techniques, our advanced services are designed to have dramatic, long-lasting effects on your smile

Dental Veneers

Veneers are a minimally invasive dental procedure in which a thin covering is placed over the outside (visible area) of the tooth. Veneers are usually only applied to the part of the tooth that is seen when talking or smiling. They can be used to close gaps between teeth, appear to straighten crooked teeth, correct teeth that are chipped or permanently stained, and to change the shape and length of teeth.

At Provident Dentistry, the process begins during an initial consultation where the dentist will perform a thorough examination of your teeth, gums and supporting bone structure. We will discuss treatment options with you, answer all your questions, and determine your desired cosmetic outcome. At the next appointment, the teeth will be prepared by removing a small amount of enamel from the front of the tooth to make room for the veneer. We will then take a digital scan and impressions to send to the dental laboratory where the veneers will be fabricated. Before you leave, the newly prepped teeth are given a temporary tooth-colored covering. Roughly two weeks after this appointment, when the veneers are back from the laboratory, the temporaries are gently removed and the veneers are permanently bonded to the teeth. The laboratory fabricated veneers are usually made using porcelain or pressed ceramic and appear as natural, aesthetically pleasing teeth. The advantage of veneers versus crowns is that much less tooth structure is removed and the procedure is completed with minimal discomfort.

Whether the veneers are used on only a few teeth, or as part of a complete smile makeover, we are excited and proud to help patients love their smile through porcelain veneers.

Teeth Whitening

Teeth whitening (or bleaching) is one of the most economical ways to enhance your smile, make you look younger, or help you look your best for a special occasion. At Provident Dentistry, we offer three different methods of whitening to help amplify your confidence and leave you smiling wide. All of our options contain active whitening agents paired with potassium nitrate and fluoride to minimize sensitivity and discomfort. Furthermore, they are also vegan and gluten free. We encourage you to discuss whitening with your dental provider to determine the option that best suits your unique needs.

In Office Teeth Whitening

Opalescence Boost teeth whitening is applied by your dental professional right in the dental office to give you a white smile fast! The procedure generally takes about 1 hour, where we apply a protective barrier to your gum tissue and then a very strong bleach to your teeth. No hot or uncomfortable LED teeth whitening lights are necessary because it is chemically activated, and will leave you with a brighter smile after only one visit. As a bonus, we will also make you custom trays to take home including two syringes of whitening gel.

Custom Tray Whitening

Tray whitening is a less expensive whitening treatment that offers you a customized professional teeth whitening experience in the comfort of your own home. We will first take an impression of your mouth to create custom clear whitening trays for you to wear. Within a week your trays will be ready to be picked up and we will show you how to apply the special bleaching gel material directly to the trays. Depending on the strength of the whitening gel you choose, convenient wear times will range from as short as 15 minutes per day, to as long as overnight. How long you have to wear them depends on how white you want your teeth, but in general 2-3 weeks is the norm. At the end of this period, you will see maximum whitening results that are nothing short of dazzling. Once you have your whitening trays, occasional touch-up treatment can be done at your convenience to maintain the appearance of your new smile.

Opalescence Go Whitening

We also sell non-custom trays that are ready-to-go for all patients. Opalescence Go pre-filled whitening trays pair professional strength teeth whitening with unrivaled convenience. The innovative tray easily conforms to any smile and is ready right out of the box. Depending on the strength of the package you choose, these trays may be worn between 15-60 minutes daily for noticeably whiter results after just one use. It’s fast. It’s simple. It’s effective.

White Spots – Resin Infiltration Therapy

The most common cause of chalky-white spots on teeth is the loss of mineral content from the enamel or the outside hard layer of the tooth一a process known as demineralization. Resin Infiltration Therapy is a new, noninvasive technique, to lessen the appearance of white spots and help rebuild the white demineralized areas without taking away any enamel or tooth structure. The effectiveness of the treatment depends on the cause of the white spots, and depending on the cause of the white spots, in some instances it may not work. Please visit us for a consultation so that we can determine the cause of the white spots and recommend the appropriate treatment. However, most of our patients have had great results after one visit, and we are so proud to offer our patients yet another cutting edge treatment option.

Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is a method of cosmetic dentistry that uses a special type of tooth-colored composite resin to enhance the appearance of your smile and leave you with results that look and feel natural. This resin is applied directly to your tooth once it’s been prepped, then your dentist at will shape, sculpt, harden, and trim it to cover up flaws in your tooth and restore its shape and color. Choosing dental bonding has a number of great benefits:

Fast Treatment
Dental bonding takes only one appointment, and it may take as little as 30 minutes to treat each tooth, so many patients have multiple teeth treated during one appointment, and can enjoy immediate improvements to their smile.

Cost-Effective
Dental bonding is usually much more affordable compared to porcelain veneers and other methods of correcting uneven or imperfect teeth, so it’s a great choice for restoring your smile if you’re on a budget.

Non-Invasive
No enamel is removed from your tooth during the dental bonding process, so there’s no need for any numbing needles, sedation, or drilling. Even if you have severe dental anxiety, dental bonding may work for you.

Gummy Smile

A “gummy smile”, also known as excessive gingival display, is the term used to describe a smile that reveals a disproportionate amount of gum tissue above the upper teeth. The most common causes of gummy smile are:

  • Hyperfunction of the upper lip (the lip pulls too high when smiling)

  • A short upper lip

  • Abnormal dental eruption (teeth appear short as they remain partially covered by gum tissue)

  • Teeth that are small relative to the gum due to genetics or wear

There are many ways to fix a gummy smile. At our offices, we are proud to offer laser gum contouring as an option to the right candidates. This procedure is minimally invasive and involves the gentle yet precise reshaping of the gum line using special dental lasers. Your gums will be sculpted by removing excess tissue to reposition the gum line so that more of your tooth is visible. The amount of gum tissue removed is just enough to enhance its contour around the teeth. Gum contouring provides a permanent solution to gummy smiles, so once you have undergone it, you won’t have to worry about excess gum tissue again. Evening out your gum line or removing excess gum tissue can help improve the aesthetics of your smile. It can also make removing plaque and tartar much easier which can help prevent a host of other dental problems from occurring.

Invisalign®

Imagine having the stunning smile you’ve always wanted without most people even noticing you’re going through treatment. We are proud to offer Invisalign® Clear Aligners at all of our Provident Dentistry locations, which can transform your smile without interfering with your day-to-day life.

Clear aligners are an alternative to traditional braces that straighten teeth with a system of clear removable trays that are nearly undetectable to most observers. Each tray is custom made and gently shifts the teeth into the correct position over time. Our dentists will work with you to create a custom-designed program that will treat your specific dental or orthodontic issue. Whether you have overly crowded teeth, widely spaced teeth, or a crossbite, overbite, or underbite, Invisalign® can correct your teeth for a beautiful, confident smile.

Your treatment program will consist of a series of aligners that you switch out roughly every two weeks. Each time you replace an aligner with the next in the series, your teeth will gradually move until they reach the position prescribed for you. Invisalign aligners are typically worn for 22 hours each day and depending on the complexity of your case, you can expect a treatment time of 6 to 18 months (though you will start seeing results in a matter of weeks). They are usually covered by dental insurance policies that cover traditional braces. Call us today to schedule your consultation so we can help you achieve the look you desire
